Family Roundup

(Sunday Paper, Year VII, Issue 26)

The guest posts have run dry, but it’s still June and I’m still in need of some battery recharging, so I’m going to keep this one short and sweet.

I’ll draw attention to two quick family things and give you the rundown of my past couple of weeks of watching/listening (man, I wish there was a better way to sum that up), and then we’ll go on our way.

OK?

OK.

We’ll start with my parents.

On Friday my parents celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

It’s a big deal and we weren’t able to celebrate it like we should have but that celebration will happen.

It’s very special and my parents have set a very high bar for relationships with their 50 years together.

Not just because it’s been 50 years but because of how they’ve been over 50 years.

So congratulations to them and we’ll celebrate it in person soon.

As for other family stuff, this video crossed the social media feeds this week - it’s not new, but there’s a new push on it, so I’ll share it and hope it gets more views because it’s powerful and important. It also used my brother Matt’s music which, as I wrote on Twitter this week, is a testament, I think, to his talent and how it can impact people.

For more information about Brian’s work, you can find his social media through that tweet.

You can find out more about my brother and his music here.
