The Kids Take Over, Part II, Year 5
(Sunday Paper, Year VI, Issue 25)
You know the drill by now.
It’s June.
I take some time off from the Sunday Paper.
I hand the reins to the kids. (Say it with me: Like Bil Keane and ‘The Family Circus’!)
Last week it was my oldest daughter.
This week it’s my youngest daughter.
And without further ado, here is her post for this year.
Hello! It’s Maeve, and this week, it’s my turn to do the Sunday Paper!
In school, we did a state project, and I got New Hampshire! I learned a lot when I was doing research for the slideshow we needed to do. In the creative projects we also did for our state, I created a model for the White Mountains. I also made a box with facts about New Hampshire in it, with some drawings to represent it. I found it really interesting when everybody presented their slideshows and creative projects. It was a really fun experience!
Also in school, we’re doing Pandemic Memory books. It gives you a page to draw you, your age, to draw a picture of your teacher and write what you like best about them, what things we did differently this school year, a few other writing pages, draw your favorite lunch, friends, 3 of your most favorite books, etc. I think this activity is really fun, because I get to draw, write, and color!
