The Kids Take Over, Part II, Year 6

This week’s author and her father recently taking in a Red Sox game.

(Sunday Paper, Year VII, Issue 24)

As you likely already know, since it’s June it’s also guest post season.

My kids are taking over for the month - well, at least the first two weeks of the month - I’m honestly not sure if I have commitments from anyone else in the house beyond today.

But last week was my youngest daughter - you can read what she had to say here.

This week it’s my middle daughter’s turn.

Here’s what she did in the past - if you click here you’ll be taken to last year’s post, from which you can find your way back to all previous posts.

And, without further ado, here’s her post for this year.

Another year, another fabulous Sunday Paper written by me that outshines all of the others that have ever been written. As expected, many things have changed since last year. I cut my hair (shocking!). I got my booster shot (woah!). I had my dance recital, this time on an actual stage instead of in the parking lot of my dance studio (cue the applause!). I watched Dad run a second Boston Marathon (more on that in a minute). You know, the usual.

I know that if you are a passionate Sunday Paper reader, you have already heard a ton about the marathon, but you haven’t heard it from my perspective. For me, watching Dad run the Boston Marathon was pretty stressful. There was a lot of doubtful, “What if we missed him? Has he run through already?” running (haha) through my head. Other than that, it was pretty enjoyable. Especially the second time, when we went to the finish line to watch, that was super cool. I didn’t know that we were going to be so close and when I saw where we were, I was shocked. It was so awesome to be able to watch Dad cross the finish line.

Writing

I do not write anything, but I enjoy reading others’ writing. My favorite books that I have read recently are Screen Queens (by Lori Goldstein) and Six of Crows (by Leigh Bardugo). Now, I am not as much of a bookworm as my little sister, but I have really been enjoying reading lately - I was in a huge reading slump and barely read at all as of January(ish).

What I’ve Been Enjoying

As I just talked about, I enjoy reading. I also enjoy listening to music, watching TV shows, and eating candy.

Notes

*My favorite musical artists are Taylor Swift, Harry Styles, Lizzo, and Conan Gray

*Right now I am watching Stranger Things (I am on season 2)

*I cut off approximately 4-5 inches of my hair a couple weeks ago

*The end.
